The Language Conventions test comprises spelling, grammar and punctuation.  In previous tests that some students have undertaken, these content strands may have been tested as ‘English’.

The sample questions provided are examples of just some of the question styles that students will encounter in the Language Conventions test in May. Sample questions are not representative of the full range of test content, curriculum spread or the full range of item difficulties.
