Numeracy Year 9
Year 9 students will sit two tests for Numeracy. One test will permit them to use a calculator for assistance, the other test will not permit calculator use.
The sample questions provided below are examples of some of the question styles that Year 9 students will encounter in the Numeracy test.

The use of calculators
i) Students will be permitted to bring into the test the calculator that they currently use at school or with which they are most familiar.
ii) Schools should ensure that they have a sufficient reserve supply of calculators.
iii) Principals and test Administrators will be responsible for ensuring that any calculator used during the test has been checked to ensure that no information that might advantage a student has been stored on the calculator.
